Mr. Moze,

Your DIRECT, TRANSPARENT advice has always been a great aid to me as I build my businesses - so congrats on your 50 years of success. I would add a critical item for you to discuss next. DEALING WITH AMBIGUITY....it seems that constant change and our ability to handle it with composure and guide our teams through it is a critical competence for all of us to improve upon.

Barry - As an unofficial "client" I have benefitted from your coaching. Your web site and blog provide concise, practical and thought provoking written ideas. Tools that can help me capitalize on new opportunities to make my latest venture a success. I'll still look forward to that coaching!

Thanks Mark, you are right when you state that focus needs to be thought-provoking and I hope that I will fulfill your expectations with my blogs. Leadership is a complicated art form and the more we can share the better all of us can drive results.

Barry, we all need to adapt to the additional channels of communication available to us so I am pleased you are doing this. I think carefully crafted blog posts like this will be a great help to your clients and good reminders to us that we need to get together. The challenge will be how to drive prospective clients to your site via the blogs. I see this as being additive to your consulting business especially if you can capture thought-provoking nuggets in a few paragraphs. You are off to a good start!---Mark

This is a great analogy-- my favorite thing so far on your blog. It brings home the idea that we need to adapt to shifting environments without allowing it to distort our view of reality. Thanks for the interesting reading.

Thanks for your response Bob, and I can't think of a better example of a business leader driving results than your commitment to yor work in China. Your are an example of excellence to everyone at Rockwell.

Hi Barry, just reviewed your blog at your request and found it very interesting. The opening speaking to: "What makes executives successful" is something I get asked a lot (and yes, I am not a consultant)! I find like so many things, trying to reduce things to their simplest form is as much the key to being successful, as driving results by getting your employees to do their roles at their highest ability providing maximum contributions. Keeping things simple isn't easy, it's a skill. Especially when you're an engineer! I find whatever objectives I am trying to drive if you keep it simple, it’s easier for people to understand and typically drives the best results.

Your blog is just like that to me. Keep it that way........simple, direct and easy to read

Barry - Thanks for committing to writing what you have learned over the past twenty five years. It reminds me of the Steve Jobs Story ... once he returned to Apple, he reset strategy while simultaneously recruiting a new leadership team. I look forward to following your blog. - George
